Events & Specials in Jefferson Parish Louisiana

If you're traveling to the New Orleans area this holiday season, take advantage of some of these great special offers by hotels in Jefferson Parish!

The Inaugural Laketown Festival will be located in Kenner's Laketown, located where Williams Boulevard meets Lake Pontchartrain, just west of the Treasure Chest Casino. Join in the fun October 27-28 2007 in Kenner, LA.

The majesty of Mardi Gras meets the family fun of Jefferson in this early spring event that brings out the kid in crowds of parade lovers. In 2007, unincorporated Jefferson celebrated 50 years of Mardi Gras with fabulous festivities. This year don’t miss this special Family Gras celebration, a three-day event of music and the mystique of Mardi Gras. Live bands will fill the air with rockin' Louisiana music, while families enjoy some of the most unique food the world over. And when the music stage goes silent, the crowds will roar with excitement over carnival in Jefferson as several of Mardi Gras' most original "krewes" celebrate Louisiana's "joie de vivre." The Jefferson Convention & Visitors Bureau (JCVB) is arranging special Family Gras packages to help families maximize their stay in the New Orleans area. JCVB is also teaming up the Louisiana Restaurant Association and business-owners to create special discounts for Family Gras participants on everything from swamp tours to the finest cuisine in the world.
